I love coming though , I don't recommend coming on the weekends.. When you pull up you'll see the coconut man, selling fresh coconut water with the pulp... its worth it!! You'll see the tamale lady too, it's big back good! Bring cash!! they have an extensive produce section, and a good meat dept. Hba aisle has a lot of Dominican hair products that's hard to find in this area... They have a panaderia and you'll see all types of delicious pastries and cakes... etc.. Employees are nice and helpful. Definitely returning.

Megamart has taken serious measures to protect their employees and their customers. Before the state made it mandatory to wear a mask all of their employees were wearing one. A few customers are allowed to go in and 6 ft distance is something they definitely follow. Each time a customer leaves, an employee is wiping down a cart and not just the handles. They have pretty much everything you need. They do not allow kids to go in unless they are wearing a mask. They also have 1 per household shopping.

I visit Megamart at least once a week to buy tortillas, fresh cheese, frozen fruits and condiments from Latin America (that remind me of my chilhood), beans, vegetables and the occasional meat. It's always cheaper than chain supermarkets. The line at the butcher counter can be long, and parking is always a challenge, particularly on weekends.

I love Megamart, and do most of my shopping there. On my first visit, I fell in love with the store because of the wide variety of chorizo on display there. From an early age, I have loved chorizo, but until Megamart, I had no idea how many varieties there are. Megamart offers at least four varieties of Mexican chorizo, as well as Honduran, Salvadoran, Argentinean and Spanish. Those are the packaged chorizos: the butcher's chorizo also looks delicious. Megamart has a full-service butcher. Not self-service refrigerators of pre-packaged meats you see at your average supermarket, but an actual counter and display case where you go and ask for what you want. I have found that for cuts of meats used in Latin cultures, the prices are about HALF what they are in a corporate chain store. The butcher's shop also often has fresh fish. The produce department at Megamart is great! They often offer incredible bargains. A couple of weeks ago, they had whole fresh pineapples for $1.99. They also have many varieties of fresh chiles at very reasonable prices. Megamart also has nice cookware. I bought a 40-quart tamalera there for around $25. I have also bought a couple of nice molcajetes there as gifts. You will not often hear English spoken at Megamart, and only once has a Megamart employee spoken to me in English. Although my Spanish isn't perfect, it hasn't been much of an obstacle. I do my best, and everyone is very patient with me. I have learned some new words since I started shopping there. (Since there are lots of words in real life that are never taught in school.) If you spend $40 at Megamart, they give you a free litre of soda. They also offer complimentary shuttle service. I think there's a minimum purchase required, but they will pick you up to do your shopping and drop you off when you're done.
